In giving ourself to world we make ourself invincible

we remove our skin and replace it with hardened steel

we put our emotions in a bag and throw them into the sea

we give up the idea of ever getting anywhere but here

in this giving away of ourselfs

it does not matter if we get better or worse

if we improve as humans or as souls

we are giving the heavy resposibility of existing away,

we are choosing to trust,

we are choosing faith

faith that god,

or more neutrally put,

the universe,

will take care of us.

Not in the way as in “please if only i could get this i would be happy!”

or “please won’t you help me take my suffering away!”

but rather,

if you imagine this to be the universes response,

“you are blinded by your suffering so you do not see that through it lies the change that you seek”

and “faith is to understand that you dont know where your next step will take you”.

It is a scary thing to do yes,

leave your life in the hands of somebody else,

but it is even scarier still

to live your life in the illusion that your life was ever in your hands to begin with,

it is an illusion that brings us suffering,

it brings us pain,

because we cant possibly control all the things that steer our lifes

and when we do end up in a place of darkness we feel as if it was somehow our fault.

The giving away of ourselfs means to give up the idea of what things will mean for us

strong negative emotions might be the thing that finally leads us through the pain that caused them,

so we dont push them away

trying so hard be someone might be the thing that makes us shallow

so we dont try

we give ourselfs to the world

we resign our preference to what happens to us beause we realize we never know what anything might bring

and we have faith that one day we will look back on it all and say,

“I’m greatfull for everything because it created the person I am today”

and in that we become invicible.
