My ego is like a partner lacking confidence, therefore always needing attention, and getting this by boasting, always being loud. My boundless ground is like a mirror always reflecting, easily lost in the rumble of the ego, easily forgotten withouth dedicated awarness.

But always present, always there, unchanging. Reflecting. One part of the whole.

I imagine the two to go walking hand in hand through the world. Sometimes one of them picks up the pace slightly which means the other one will get pulled along. Then it can seem that it disappears. But the hand is firm does not let go. It stays connected for our whole lives, atleast it seems that way. Is enlightenment the dissolving of one of these “hand holders” ? Like when we talk about ego death.

Is enlightenment the insight that the holding of the hands does not exist in the same way that imperanance does not exist. There exists nothing but imperance, there exists nothing that isn’t dependent on everything else. There can be no “thing” standing alone, separate from everything else.

How do you gain an insight into this, and how would that insight look? Can you descibe an insight of any kind? Its just a kind of feeling that you have understood something, but you cant really explain why or how, its not a rational knowing. You havent gained an insight because you sat down and made calculations towards it. It just kind of arrives. And then you know its true. Inisght, gift, heart-knowing, clarity, sign from god, intuition, realization, its all the same thing. Its true that we can go down a path towards an insight in a certain subject, but when it comes it comes and we cant say why it came just then.

It just hits us!

So how could you explain this? Make sense of it? In words?

“So Pontus, how did you arrive at this conclusion? No no, you got it all wrong, the conclusion arrived to me!”

The experience of it is so rich and light. Full. What a wonderful world to be living in, where knowing can be light and unexplainable, where we can actually relax into and through life, and the path just reveals it self, through insight, intuition. Even though its wonderful to think and reason about things, its true that its ALSO wonderful to listen to your heart and let it guide you. We dont need to kill one to make the other valid, they can both have its place! In the whole!
